MORAGA -- Saint Mary's senior guard Matthew Dellavedova was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week after averaging 19.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in wins over BYU and Creighton.

The reigning WCC Player of the Year played 79 of 80 minutes in the two games. He scored 20 points in the 64-57 defeat of WCC rival BYU that clinched the No. 2 seed into the conference tournament. He then added 19 points as the Gaels beat Creighton 74-66 in a BracketBusters game.
