A riding double on Sunday's closing-day program at Golden Gate Fields capped another title-winning campaign for Hall of Fame jockey Russell Baze.

Baze, who won three races both Friday and Saturday, finished the 19-day summer meeting with 26 victories and earned his 46th career riding championship at Golden Gate Fields.

Juan Hernandez, who rode four winners Sunday, finished second with 22 wins. Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer sent out 12 winners at the summer session to collect his 44th career conditioning crown at Golden Gate Fields.

Racing on the Northern California fair circuit resumes Friday when the San Joaquin County Fair opens a two-week meeting in Stockton. Live racing at Golden Gate Fields will resume Oct. 17.
