Tweeting isn't always so sweet for celebrities when they're bombarded by haters, or when get themselves in trouble for a quick quip or knee-jerk jab. So here are a few famous Twitter quitters, although they don't always stay away for long:
1. Megan Fox: The actress quit in January. This was her last post: "5 days on Twitter and I have yet to discern its purpose. #WhatIsThePoint ???"
2. James Franco: He quit after his lackluster hosting stint on the Oscars. But apparently he's back.
3. Alec Baldwin: He quit -- twice. Once after a scuffle with a photographer. Then he re-opened his account. Then again after getting in an argument with a flight attendant about not turning off his phone. He was probably tweeting at the time.
4. Ashton Kutcher: Even the original king of tweets bowed out after backlash from comments he made about late Penn State coach Joe Paterno. He still has an account, but it's supposedly monitored by his management team.
