Nakita was surrendered when her owner could not keep her and is new to rescue. She's very sweet, has not had any problems with the young male she is now staying with or with the resident cat. She also met some children and was fine with them. She is a house dog and loves to lie at her owner's feet. Nakita needs an obedience refresher course as she pulls on leash. Pug Rescue

Stella, 8 months old, has had a rough start in life, but is a happy puppy. She lost an eye while playing with a mastiff, her original family had to give her up due to financial difficulties, and she is getting medication for a skin infection. But despite that, she loves people, other animals (but best in a home with no cat), kids and toys, and is learning good manners. PROS holds adoptions from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the third Sundays at Pet Food Express, at Oak Grove Road and Treat Boulevard in Concord.
