Eagles on victory tour

Clayton Valley's Joe Protheroe (5) runs past College Park's Nick Luna during the Eagles' 49-7 victory on Oct. 12. Protheroe only carried the ball six times, but tallied 175 rushing yards and scored twice to help Clayton Valley lead 49-0 after three quarters. It was the sixth straight win for Clayton Valley, which improved to 2-0 in the Diablo Valley Athletic League and will take on rival Concord this week. The Oct. 19 game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Concord High.
