Patty Cakes Story Time: For children up to 3 years old attending with a caregiver, is from 11-11:15 a.m. Tuesdays through Nov. 27. It features songs, rhymes and stories with an aim to early literacy.
Picture Book Time: For children 3-5 years old who may attend without a caregiver, is at 11 a.m. Thursdays through Nov. 15.
Book Buddies: 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. A book buddy volunteer reader will be in the library to read stories to children of all ages.
Tell Your Own Story: Make Your Own Picture Book! -- a Clayton Reads program: 4-5 p.m. Nov. 15. Kids ages 4-9 can make their own picture book. Registration is required.
Yoga with Alandi -- a Clayton Reads program: 10:15-11:45 a.m. Nov. 3. Yoga instructor Alandi Stec will give a brief introduction to the physical benefits of yoga, which will be followed by a practice session suitable for mixed levels. Participants should bring a yoga mat and wear loose clothing.
"One Amazing Thing" Book Discussion -- a Clayton Reads Program: 2-4 p.m. Nov. 4, 7. High school students and adults can join a discussion of the book with moderator, librarian Karen Hansen-Smith.

Preschool Parachute Program: 7-7:45 p.m. Nov. 5. There will be singing and rhythm activities for children ages 3-5. Registration is required and limited to 16 children. Register in person at the information desk or call the library.
Birds of a Feather: 1 p.m. Dec. 3. Kids and all ages are invited to a program by the nonprofit Corvid Connection using permanently injured wild birds for educational programs.
Stargazing@the Library: 7-8 p.m. Nov. 26. All ages are invited to join the Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society for a night of fun.
Concord Mystery Book Club: 2:30 p.m. the second Sunday of the month, and mystery lovers are invited to join the group. On Nov. 18, the discussion will be on "The Case of the Missing Servant," by Tarquin Hall.
Knitting and crochet group: 1:15-4:45 p.m. the first Sunday of each month. Knitters and crocheters of all levels are welcome. On Nov. 4, drop in anytime to knit, crochet and network. Some practice yarn provided, but bring your own needles.
Computer Tutoring: 10-11 a.m. and 11 a.m.-noon Tuesdays and Saturdays. Adults can get one-on-one help with basic computer instruction -- setting up an email account, searching the Internet, formatting a Word document and beginning Excel skills.
Small claims adviser workshop: 5:30-8 p.m. the second Thursday of the month, presented by the Contra Costa County Superior Court. The program is free and open to everyone. No registration, but latecomers will not be admitted due to the large amount of information to be covered.
