Spartans churning out victories

De La Salle's Miko Villarama, right, battles Monte Vista's Ben Panconi for the ball during the Spartans' 2-1 road win on Jan. 24. The victory lifted the Spartans into first place in the East Bay Athletic League standings. Sophomore Joey Jones scored the game winner in the 64th minute as De La Salle pushed its unbeaten streak to nine games.
