Joshua Tyler Cunningham, the son of Teri and Mike Cunningham, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which will be presented in Court of Honor ceremonies Sept. 21, at King's Valley Christian School in Concord.
He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 317, under the leadership of Scoutmaster Ben Soleimanieh.
For his Eagle Scout community service project, Cunningham constructed a wooden bin to hold wood chips at Howe Homestead Park in Walnut Creek.
During his Scouting career, he was a previous member of Troop 490, and was awarded the Arrow of Light, Order of the Arrow, and World Conservation Award, and earned 41 merit badges.
Cunningham, 18, is a senior at De La Salle High School in Concord.
