CONCORD -- One person was killed in a fiery crash on southbound Interstate 680 Saturday night, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash, reported shortly after 7 p.m. near the Willow Pass Road onramp, involved a motorcyclist and a sedan, the CHP said. Immediately after the two collided, the sedan caught fire, and the two far left lanes remained closed until roughly 8:30 p.m. while crews cleared the scene and investigated what may have caused the crash.
