Locals step up at Sacramento MOC
Carondelet High's Christina Chenault, pictured here in a 2013 meet, was one of several locals to perform well at the Sacramento Meet of Champions on May 3. Chenault's mark of 38 feet, 7 inches was good for second place in the triple jump of the invitational session at the MOC. De La Salle's Marquis Morris had one of the best days of any East Bay athlete at the meet, winning both the 100 meters and 110 high hurdles in windy conditions. Morris' time in the hurdles was 14.56 seconds and his time in the 100 was 11.35 seconds. De La Salle's Blair Hurlock also reached the medal stand, taking second in the 1600 meters in 4:16.06.
