CONCORD -- The Mt. Diablo school board on Wednesday appointed two assistant superintendents and five administrators to new positions effective July 1 as part of a district office reorganization.
Julie Braun-Martin, assistant superintendent for personnel, was appointed assistant superintendent for elementary schools. Rose Lock, assistant superintendent for Student Achievement and School Support, was appointed assistant superintendent of middle schools.
Jeff McDaniel -- director of maintenance, operations and facilities -- was appointed executive director of operations. Joanne Durkee, director of adult and career and continuing education, was appointed director of college, career and adult school. Tim Cody, interim director or Measure C, was appointed Measure C director. Development Director Stephanie Roberts was appointed director of special projects.
All of their current positions will be eliminated June 30. In addition, chief accountant Nance Juner was promoted to interim director of budget and fiscal services, which replaces the chief financial officer position.
