MONDAY, Nov. 12
VANDALISM -- A resident on Key Route Boulevard reported that vandals egged his car parked in front of his home overnight. He complained that there was a lot of juvenile activity in the area this school year and wanted more police presence in the area.TUESDAY, Nov. 13
DISTURBANCE -- At 1:30 a.m. officers contacted a person on the 700 block of San Pablo Avenue because he appeared to be intoxicated. They arrested the Albany man for suspicion of disorderly conduct. AUTO THEFT -- At 1 p.m. white Toyota pickup with a rack and garden tools was stolen on Evelyn Avenue. HOME BURGLARY -- At 3 p.m. a housekeeper reported finding the door open to a residence on Talbot Avenue. BIKE STOLEN -- A bicycle was reported stolen from the basement of a Polk Street residence sometime late on Sunday. WEDNESDAY, Nov. 14
AUTO BREAK-IN -- Property was stolen overnight from a car on Ramona Avenue. THEFT -- A resident on Peralta Avenue reported the theft of several items from an unlocked shed in the rear yard and also a vehicle break-in. THEFT -- The license plate was stolen off a car on Taft Street and replaced it with another plate. THURSDAY, Nov. 15
HOME BREAK-IN -- A wallet was stolen overnight from an apartment on Evelyn Avenue.FRIDAY, Nov. 16
DUI -- Shortly after midnight officers stopped a vehicle near the Buchanan Street interchange for a vehicle code violation. They arrested a Rodeo man for suspicion of two counts of DUI. HOME BREAK-IN -- Someone broke into a residence on Cornell Avenue and stole a laptop, iPhone and iPad. The resident had arrived home late the previous night and found a rear window or door open. TOW -- At 8:30 p.m. officers towed a car blocking a driveway on Kains Avenue after the resident complained. ASSAULT -- Robbers attacked a man near Washington and Cornell avenues at 8:30 p.m. and robbed him. The attackers were last seen departing south on Cornell Avenue in a Crown Victoria. The injured victim was taken to the hospital. DISTURBANCE -- At 11 p.m. officers arrested a Berkeley man behind Mechanics Bank on the 800 block of San Pablo Avenue for suspicion of disorderly conduct and a probation violation.SATURDAY, Nov. 17
DUI -- Officers stopped a vehicle near Washington Avenue and Madison Street for a vehicle code violation at 1:30 a.m. and arrested an Albany man for suspicion of DUI. PUBLIC DISTURBANCE -- At 2 a.m. officers arrested an Oakland man near Portland and Kains avenues for suspicion of disorderly conduct when he was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. DUI -- At 2:30 a.m. officers stopped a vehicle at the Buchanan Street interchange for a vehicle code violation and arrested the driver, a Berkeley man, for suspicion of DUI and for driving without a license.SUNDAY, Nov. 18
DUI -- Officers stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of Ramona Avenue for a vehicle code violation at 2:30 a.m. and arrested a Berkeley man for suspicion of two counts of DUI. BURGLAR CAUGHT -- At 6 a.m. a resident in the 1000 block of Pomona Avenue called to report a burglary in progress. Officers located and arrested an Albany man, a neighbor of the caller, for suspicion of burglary and for a similar prior conviction. THEFT -- The rims were stolen off a car on Masonic Avenue overnight.-- Kristina Osborn
