Top photo, Das Tautalatasi (21) and the De La Salle High football team celebrated its 21st straight North Coast Section title after beating James Logan 52-7 in the Division I championship Dec. 1 at Dublin High. Quarterback Chris Williams threw four touchdown passes in the pouring rain. Two of them were to senior Andrew Buckley, who caught six passes for 131 yards and also had one of defense's four interceptions on the night. The Spartans' season continues with the Northern California regional Open Division game Dec. 8 against Folsom (14-0) at Sacramento State. Game time is 7:30 p.m. A win would put the Spartans (13-0) back in the Open Division state bowl game for the fourth straight year. Bottom photo, Clayton Valley Charter's Curtis Grant (3) and Jesse Medrano (42) celebrate a touchdown against Rancho Cotate-Rohnert Park in the Eagles' North Coast Section Division II championship victory Nov. 30 at Diablo Valley College. Clayton Valley took advantage of five Rancho Cotate turnovers to win the first section title in school history 35-7. And the party isn't over yet. Clayton Valley was selected to compete in the new Northern California regional Division II title game against Oakdale. A win in that contest would put the Eagles in a state bowl game.
