Contra Costa County -- As part of a special recognition of the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, Contra Costa County is seeking veterans of the "Forgotten War" to participate in a 2013 Veterans Day ceremony.
The county Veterans Service Office would like to connect with veterans or family members whose loved ones served during the Korean War willing to share their stories.
Some of those stories will be incorporated into the Contra Costa County board of supervisors' annual Veterans Day ceremony set for Nov. 12. The Korean War veteran tribute is part of a nationwide awareness campaign called "The Year of the Korean War Veteran."
If interested, please contact the Veterans Service Office at 925-313-1481 or email email@example.com.
