ANTIOCH -- A 48-year-old man suffered serious, but non life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car Monday night.
Around 6:47 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of West 10th Street after witnesses reported a car had hit a pedestrian, according to Antioch police Lt. John VanderKlugt.
VanderKlugt said witnesses told police the male victim, who has not been identified, had just walked away from a store and was crossing the street in the crosswalk when the car hit him. The driver then fled and was never found.
The vehicle is described as a silver minivan -- with front end damage -- and was last seen eastbound on West 10th Street.
No suspect information is available at this time.
