ANTIOCH - A suspected drunk driver was hospitalized after plowing into a house in Antioch early Monday morning, a police sergeant said.
The driver, an Antioch man whose name is not being released, was in the 2400 block of Beasley Avenue around 4:40 a.m. when he crashed into the home, Antioch police Sgt. Tony Morefield said.
He was taken to a hospital and the extent of his injuries was not immediately available.
No one inside the house was injured.
Morefield said the man is believed to have been driving under the influence at the time of the crash, which caused moderate damage to the house and to the man's car.
