The Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District will be spraying insecticide by truck tonight in Discovery Bay in Contra Costa County to control the number of adult mosquitoes in the area.
Crews also fogged the Discovery Bay area with insecticide last Thursday after several groups of mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus were found there last week, district officials said.
The district tonight will fog an area bordered on the east by Channel and Cherry Hills drives, on the west by unincorporated agricultural land access roads, on the north by Point of Timber Road and Edge View Drive and on the south by state Highway 4.
The fogging will take place between the hours of 7:45 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
