Lindsay Lohan keeps digging herself a deeper and deeper hole.
The actress clashed with law enforcementment again early Thursday after she allegedly punched another woman during a spat over singer Max George, of the boy band The Wanted.
I'm guessing alcohol was involved.
According to TMZ, Lohan went to the Justin Bieber concert in New York, where The Wanted opened the show. She met up with George and some of his friends at a hotel bar, then went to the Avenue nightclub in New York's trendy Chelsea neighborhood.
Apparently as the night went on, Lohan got pretty... wait for it ... drunk, which turned George off. He then started talking to another woman, which made Lohan ... wait for it ... totally mad. Words were exchanged and Lohan allegedly hauled off and punched the left side of the woman's face.
Well, that makes sense. Guys always take home the girl who throws the best right cross.
Anyway, the police were called, but didn't arrive before Lohan took off around 4 a.m. They found her outside, leaving the scene with someone else behind the wheel. They arrested her for alleged assault. Apparently, while she was in handcuffs, she kept repeating "Are you kidding me?"
Lohan was booked on suspicion of third degree misdemeanor assault and released several hours after she was taken into custody. TMZ said investigators went back to the club looking for security footage of the alleged altercation.
Lohan has a Jan. 11 court date on the arrest, which is the latest in the growing pile of legal problems.
The New York Daily News reported that Santa Monica officials could move as early as Thursday to file charges against Lohan stemming from a June car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway. Law enforcement officials believed Lohan lied when she said she was not driving her car at the time of the accident. The case means Lohan could face jail time if a California judge rules that she violated probation, which stems from her theft of a $2,500 necklace at a Venice Beach jewelry store.
