DUBLIN -- A financial planner and a business systems director are the finalists for a Dublin School board vacancy to be filled by appointment Tuesday night.

Megan Rouse, a financial planner, and Regina Hancher, a business systems director, were picked as the finalists by a committee of two school board members. The panel interviewed all seven applicants behind closed doors last week.

The board is selecting a replacement for trustee David Haubert, who resigned in December to take the city council seat he was elected to in November.

The school board will interview the finalists in public during its meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at district headquarters, 7471 Larkdale Ave. The public may submit written questions to the applicants.

Following the public interviews, trustees will to select the new board member and swear her into office.

Austin Ogden, a recent Dublin High School grad who ran for the school board in November, applied for the vacancy but was passed over by the board committee.
