LIVERMORE -- San Francisco Giants fanatics will get an up-close and personal glimpse of the Giants' past two World Series trophies on March 2 at the Robert Livermore Community Center.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., fans will have the opportunity to have their pictures taken with the 2010 and 2012 Major League Baseball's Commissioner's trophies. Fans can photograph the trophies while waiting in line, but professional photographers can only take posed photos of individuals or groups with the trophies. Fans are advised to arrive early, as spots in line are on a first-come-first-served basis.
The stop is part of the three-month Giants' World Championship Trophy Tour and is hosted by the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District, which operates Randy Johnson Field, home of the Livermore Junior Giants. A $2 donation to the Junior Giants is suggested for the professional photos.
The Robert Livermore Community Center is at 4444 East Ave. in Livermore. For more information, visit www.larpd.dst.ca.us.
