PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg Unified School District will hold a special meeting Wednesday to interview seven applicants who are hoping to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of trustee William Wong.
The applicants are Jeliani Killings, Leticia Gomez, Duane Smith, De'shawn Woolridge, Nicholette Miglio, Bruce Croskey and Elizabeth Williams.
The meeting, which is open to the public, begins at 5 p.m. in the board room of district headquarters at 2000 Railroad Ave.
The applicant who is selected will fill the rest of Wong's term, which expires in Nov. 2014. Wong resigned from his post because he is moving to San Mateo County.
