PITTSBURG -- Pittsburg is looking for local residents to fill some openings on the Planning Commission, the Community Advisory Commission and the Contra Costa County Library Commission.
Four four-year terms on the Planning Commission are set to expire June 30. The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.
There are five openings on the Community Advisory Commission, which meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.
The city is also seeking two people -- a commissioner and an alternate -- to be Pittsburg's representative on the Contra Costa County Library Commission, which meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.
To be considered for openings on any of the three commissions listed above, applications must be submitted to the City Clerk's office by May 3. Interviews will take place May 20, with appointments made June 17 by the City Council.
