MARTINEZ -- City Councilman Mike Menesini is recovering from a heart attack he suffered last weekend, Mayor Rob Schroder said Wednesday.
Schroder said Menesini went to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Walnut Creek Saturday morning after he woke up not feeling well. He had the heart attack in the emergency room and his heart stopped briefly, Schroder said. Doctors put in three coronary stents, according to Schroder.
Menesini was released from the hospital Wednesday and is doing well, Schroder said. Menesini, a San Francisco assistant district attorney, will be recuperating at home for several weeks.
