PITTSBURG -- The farmers market returns on Saturday for its 10th season in the city.
The farmers market will operate Saturdays from May 4 through Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Old Town Plaza.
The Pittsburg farmers market is operated by the Pacific Coast Farmers Market Association, which runs more than 60 certified farmers markets in the Bay Area during the peak summer months.
Saturday's opening day for the Pittsburg market will feature free carrot cake, cooking demonstrations, promotional giveaways, and arts and craft activities for children in recognition of the 25th anniversary of the Pacific Coast Farmers Market Association.
