DANVILLE -- The Danville Devil Mountain Run was back with a splash on Sunday as scores of runners took to the streets and trails after a one-year absence.

The winner of the 10K fundraising run was Michael Garaventa, of Walnut Creek, who finished with a time of 33:15.

The 5K run/walk was won by Brian Collett with a time of 17:01.

The money raised from the event will benefit Danville Discovery Counseling Center, which provides low-cost counseling services. The race was dedicated to the memory of San Ramon Valley sophomore Allison Bayliss, who took her own life in May 2011.
