ANDREW GU, Albany, So. -- The No. 2-seeded Gu, a five-star recruit ranked 47th nationally in the Boys' Class of 2015, upended top-seeded Miguel Diaz of Castro Valley 6-2, 6-3 to repeat as North Coast Section Division I champion. Gu did not lose more than three games in a set at NCS.
LUKE BOHUSLAV, Miramonte, Sr. -- The Loyola Marymount-bound ace led his team to a second consecutive NCS Division I team title. He won a three-setter over James Chen of Mission San Jose 6-0, 4-6, 6-0 in the NCS quarterfinals before falling to Gu 6-3, 6-3.
MIGUEL DIAZ, Castro Valley, Sr. -- Diaz, a five-star recruit headed to University of the Pacific, reeled off three straight wins in the NCS tournament, including 7-5, 6-2 over East Bay Athletic League champion Alex Keyser, before falling to Gu. Diaz is ranked 50th in the Boys' Class of 2013 by TennisRecruiting.net.
ALEX KEYSER, San Ramon Valley, Fr. -- Keyser had a brilliant debut varsity season, including beating Foothill's Chris Wen 6-0, 6-2 for the EBAL singles title. Keyser won his first two NCS matches before falling. He bested Miramonte's Luke Bohuslav 6-2, 6-2 in the NCS third-place match.
PETER MARTIN, Miramonte, So. -- Martin had a 33-3 overall record, including numerous quality wins. He teamed with Andrew Tan to finish second in the NCS Division I doubles tournament.
MIKE WANG, Dougherty Valley, So. -- A two-time first-team all-Diablo Foothill Athletic League selection, Wang advanced to the DFAL singles semifinals and led the talented Wildcats to the NCS Division I team semifinals.
