FIRST TEAM

MARY ASHBY, Campolindo, So. -- After winning two titles at the Diablo Foothill Athletic League championships, Ashby was second in the 50-yard freestyle and fifth in the 100 freestyle at the North Coast Section meet. She also led off the Cougars' 400 freestyle relay team, which finished second.

IRIS BRAND, Amador Valley, So. -- Brand won the 50 freestyle for the second straight year and topped two-time defending champion Madison White in winning the 100 freestyle at NCS. She also anchored the winning 200 freestyle relay team.

CHELSEA CHENAULT, Carondelet, Sr. -- For the third time in her career, Chenault won both her individual events, the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle, at the NCS meet. She also set a section record in the 100 freestyle with her leadoff leg in the 400 freestyle relay.

CELINA LI, Foothill, Sr. -- Li, who has signed with Cal, won the 200 individual medley for the third straight year at NCS. She took second in the 100 butterfly.

MADELYN MURPHY, Carondelet, Fr. -- Murphy helped the Cougars clinch the team title at the NCS championships. She was third in the 100 butterfly, third in the 100 freestyle and was part of the national record setting 400 freestyle relay.

HEIDI POPPE, San Ramon Valley, Jr. -- Poppe defended her title in the 100 breaststroke at NCS. Her breaststroke leg in the 200 medley relay proved decisive in the Wolves' victory in the event.

ARIANA SAGHAFI, Albany, So. -- Saghafi delivered two terrific swims at the NCS finals, upsetting defending champ and section record holder Celina Li in the 100 butterfly and taking second in the 200 freestyle.

MADISON WHITE, Carondelet, Sr. -- The UCLA-bound White won the 100 backstroke title at NCS for the third consecutive season. She was second in the 100 freestyle and anchored the Cougars' 400 freestyle relay team that set a national record.
