PLEASANTON -- If you're finding it a challenge to stay cool during this weekend's heat wave, the city of Pleasanton may have some relief.

The city has activated its public Cooling Center at the Pleasanton Senior Center Friday through Monday. as temperatures are forecasted to rise into the triple digits. The Senior Center, at 5353 Sunol Blvd, will be open to all from noon to 8 p.m. for visitors to enjoy air-conditioning, water, games and TV.

Friday and Monday, free transportation to the Senior Center will be provided through Pleasanton Paratransit Services for those ages 60 and older, or ADA qualified. To schedule a ride, call 925-931-5365.
