LIVERMORE -- The power and potential of fusion energy will be the topic of an upcoming talk by a Lawrence Livermore Lab researcher at Las Positas College on March 3.
During his lecture, Dr. Frederico Fiuza, a Lawrence Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab's Fusion Energy Sciences Program, will explain how large-scale computer simulations are playing a critical role in fusion research. The presentation is part of the annual Science and Engineering Seminar Series and takes place in the school's Multi-Disciplinary Building Lecture Hall, Room 2420, beginning at 6 p.m. It is open to the general public and free of charge, but visitors are reminded the campus has a $2 parking fee.
