There is no 'Road Fairy'

Orinda's roads need fixing. I don't think a single resident of Orinda would disagree with that statement. The question is, who will fix them?

Orinda has tapped every available resource and still comes up short on funding. These are our roads, they need repairs and no one else is going to do it. We have put this off far too long. The longer we put off repairing the roads, the bigger the job and the bigger the price tag. We all need to step up and vote for Measure J to provide much needed funds for repairs.

It is our town. They are our roads. They are our responsibility. They need to be fixed now. Vote yes on Measure J.

Supports Glazer for Assembly seat

I've had enough of partisan politics in Sacramento. It seems like every decision legislators make is designed to prove ideological purity to some special interest group.

We need leaders who are going to put aside partisan bickering and work for real solutions. Steve Glazer is one of those leaders -- a moderate who's not interested in proving his pedigree because he works for the people. He will say no to wasteful spending and ensure that our budget is balanced. He will bring a long record of solving problems to the Legislature, and will be a valuable asset.

Steve Glazer will be an independent voice for East Bay families and I am proud to support him.

The Great Pretender?

Steve Glazer has been "hooked at the hip" with Gov. Jerry Brown since he was in college. Suddenly, he is an "independent" who will stand up to his mentor and buddies in Sacramento? If you believe that, then I have "a bridge to sell you."

In the last few weeks, I have received no fewer than nine large glossy fliers from Mr. Glazer and viewed several expensive TV ads. The question is, who is buying this election?

Echoing the Times in endorsing Catharine Baker, I believe she owes no debt to any special interest. Vote for the real independent ... that's Catharine Baker.
