Polling places throughout Contra Costa County will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 3 for the gubernatorial primary election.
The Contra Costa County Elections Office encourages voters to pre-mark their choices in their sample ballot booklet and bring it with them to their polling place to use as a reference. Midmorning and midafternoon are the best times to vote to avoid possible excessive wait times, officials say.
Polling place locations and directional maps, as well as information regarding sample ballots and candidates, are available on the county Elections Division website at www.cocovote.us/current-election/.
County elections officials as well as city clerks in all but three of Contra Costa's 19 cities will be reachable for assistance by telephone until 8 p.m. on Tuesday; the exceptions are Antioch, Oakley and Pittsburg.
The county Elections Office phone numbers are 925-335-7800 or toll-free 1-877-335-7802.
The phone numbers of the city clerks' offices that will be staffed until 8 p.m. on Tuesday are as follows, according to the county elections officials:
Local election results will be available beginning at 8 p.m. Election Night on the Elections Division website at www.cocovote.us/current-election/ and on Contra Costa Television (CCTV) beginning at 9 p.m. on Comcast channel 27, Astound channel 32 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99. Districtwide results will be available on the Secretary of State's website at http://vote.sos.ca.gov.
