CLOVIS -- Dublin High sophomore Mecca McGlaston won the CIF state championship in the girls 100-meter intermediate hurdles in an official wind-aided time of 13.54 seconds on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High.

McGlaston was first to the first hurdle, lost the lead, but took surges in the middle of the race and in the final five meters to win.

This is the fourth straight year that an East Bay girl has won the event. Sasha Wallace was the champion in 2012-2013 and Trinity Wilson won in 2011.
