Thinking about running for city council?

The cities of Livermore and Dublin will hold free informational meetings this week for candidates interested in running for city council in the November general election.

The meetings will cover the nomination process, conflict of interest, campaign reporting requirements, the city's election ordinance and campaign sign regulations. Potential candidates, campaign managers, treasurers, and other parties are invited to attend.

Livermore's session will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Council Chambers, 3575 Pacific Ave. For details, call the Livermore city clerk's office at 925-960-4200.

Dublin's session will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the City Hall regional room, 100 Civic Plaza.
