SAN RAMON -- The city is planning to hold an informational meeting on the proposed 100,000- to 150,000-plot cemetery in Tassajara Valley on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at City Hall at 2222 Camino Ramon.
The controversial 59-acre Creekside Memorial Park ¿project has been proposed by Danville developer Sid Corrie. To be built, it will require approvals from Contra Costa County's planning commission and its board of supervisors.
Mayor Bill Clarkson and Vice Mayor Phil O'Loane are hosting the session to build public awareness of the project, which would be built not far from the city's borders.
Located near the Tassajara Creek Regional Trail, the cemetery would located about 2,300 feet away from existing homes on Windemere Parkway, next to the Hidden Valley open space area and future protected open space to its north.
City staff and representatives of the county and the proposed development also have been invited to share their updates of the project. The city will also be taking public comments.
