BART invites riders to meet transit police between 4 and 7 p.m. Tuesday to discuss crime prevention at six stations as part of the National Night Out crime awareness campaign.

The BART stations are Fruitvale (Oakland), Richmond, Pittsburg-Bay Point, Bay Fair (San Leandro), Daly City and 16th Street-Mission (San Francisco).

BART police officers will be joined by BART Police Chief Kenton Rainey and General Manager Grace Crunican and transit board members at the various events in the free areas outside the station fare gates.

BART will hold a raffle and children's activities and give demonstrations on preventing theft of bicycles and electronic devices.
