OAKLAND -- A 30-year-old man was in critical condition after being found stabbed multiple times early Friday in the Temescal district of North Oakland, police said.
The man, whose name was not released, was found about 4:05 a.m. Friday by a passer-by on 51st Street just east of Telegraph Avenue. He had been stabbed in the body and head.
The man was taken to a hospital, where police planned to interview him once his condition improves.
Police said they don't have a motive yet and no suspect information. No arrests have been made.
In another act of violence, a 19-year-old man waiting for a bus Thursday night in East Oakland was wounded in a drive-by shooting, police said.
The man, whose name was not released, was waiting for a bus about 7:15 p.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of 98th Avenue when a car passed by and someone inside the vehicle shot him in the arm, police said.
The vehicle fled and the man got his own transportation to a hospital, police said. No motive has been established.
