ALAMO -- Fun-loving, sun-loving music fans filled Livorna Park on Friday, rocking out to the blues and rock sounds of Evan Thomas and Papa's Garage.

The free concert drew picnickers, families, couples and people from around the area who lazed about the lawn on beach towels, blankets and folding chairs. There is one more concert left to go in the free Alamo Summer Concert series sponsored by Alamo Parks and Recreation.

The last show of the season will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 9. The performers will be Mixed Nuts, who perform classic pop music from the '40s to the present. For more information visit www.cccounty.us/alamoparks&;recreation.com or call 925-313-2272. The park is at 801 Livorna Rd. (at Miranda Avenue).
