DUBLIN — The city is selling $25 passports to sample food, beer and wine at the city's Splatter Art and Wine Festival on Sept. 21 at Emerald Glen Park.
In a related matter, Dublin is asking nonprofit groups to supply volunteers for festival booths or activities in exchange for a city payment to those groups.
Admission is free to the Splatter festival and a fireworks show afterwards, but entrance to a large tasting pavilion from 1 to 6 p.m. is limited to event passport holders.
The passports can be purchased by visiting www.ci.dublin.ca.us/ and clicking either on "Passports for Splatter" or clicking on special events and then "splatter." For information, call the city at 925-556-4508.
Dublin is inviting nonprofit groups to supply volunteers for the festival and, in exchange, the city will make a monetary contribution to the groups. Applications for this opportunity can be found at www.dublinsplatter.com. For information, call Jasmine Donnelly at (925) 556-4500.
The Splatter festival is from noon to 8 p.m., followed by a fireworks show.
