Were you there when it happened, the big day when the Caldecott Tunnel opened to traffic in 1937?
Or did you attend the opening of the third bore in 1964?
The Bay Area News Group would like to hear the stories of people present during the tunnel opening in 1937 and the third bore of the tunnel in 1964, and from workers on those projects.
We also would like to hear from readers who traveled through the so-called Broadway or Kennedy tunnel higher up in the hills between Oakland and Orinda when it was open between 1903 and 1947.

The Bay Area News Group is also interested in historic photos of those tunnel events.
A Caldecott Tunnel fourth bore is expected to open later this year.
