Drivers who use Vasco Road to travel from East Contra Costa to Alameda County and beyond should expect delays or find another route for the next few weeks.
Weather permitting, contractors will be doing road work on the busy thoroughfare from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. from the Alameda County line north to Camino Diablo to replace roadway delineators, according to the Contra Costa County Public Works Department.
Work starts on Sept. 23 and is scheduled to last through Oct. 4, according to county officials. Work will be done Monday through Saturday.
Electronic message board will be up the next week to warn drivers of the work.
Traffic will be controlled throughout the work area, and motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.
