HERCULES -- The defense of the Hercules High football team allowed visiting Salesian just 45 yards of offense in the second half to help earn a 28-6 victory on Friday night.

The Titans took an the lead 14-6 early in the third quarter on a 34-yard run by Josh Jackson with Loran Fonseca adding the extra point. Jackson finished the game with 98 yards and two touchdowns.

Hercules' defense stalled the Pride's offense, forcing four punts and an grabbing an interception by Jerrick Bernstein in the second half.

Antwuin Prowes scored the Titans' first points of the night on a 36-yard inception return with 8:31 left in the first half.

Salesian scored its only points with 18 seconds left in the first half on a 10-yard run by De'Angelo Hernandez, following a pass interference penalty on Hercules. Aaron Hayes and Austin Ambion each had an interception for the Pride.

Jed Simmons and Solomon Clark each had sacks for the Titans defense.
