DUBLIN — City Manager Joni Pattillo is retiring before the end of the year after five and a half years as Dublin's top executive.

Pattillo become city manager in 2008 when she was promoted from the post of assistant city manager to replace Richard Ambrose. Ambrose was Dublin's first city manager after its incorporation in 1982.

City officials credited Pattillo with guiding the city toward finanacial stability during recession, creating two-year city budgets, and adopting a 10-year capital improvements plan.
