DANVILLE -- The town of Danville will officially unveil one of their larger capital improvement projects of 2013 at a rededication ceremony and celebration for Danville South Park on Wednesday.

The free public event begins at 4:30 p.m. with a rededication by Mayor Newell Arnerich, followed by an open house until 6:30 p.m. The event will showcase the park's new game tables, restrooms and beautified green space, and features games, crafts, free hot dogs and beverages.

One of the town's oldest parks, Danville South Park, at 1885 Camino Ramon, received a makeover earlier this year. Part of the project was the removal of high walls that hid the park from view on Camino Ramon.
