Highway 4 drivers should brace themselves for another week of full overnight freeway closures through Pittsburg and Antioch.
All eastbound lanes will be closed from 1 to 5 a.m. overnight early Tuesday between Pittsburg's Loveridge Road and Somersville Road/Auto Center Drive in Antioch and midnight to 5 a.m. overnight Tuesday through Thursday, and 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. overnight Friday between Somersville /Auto Center and Lone Tree Way/A Street, according to a Contra Costa Transportation Authority news release.
Westbound lanes will be closed midnight to 4 a.m. overnight Tuesday through Thursday and 1 to 5 a.m. overnight Friday between Lone Tree/A and Contra Loma Boulevard/L Street.
There will also be some single lane closures on Highway 4 through that area, according to the transportation authority.
Locally, all lanes of Somersville/Auto Center will be closed under the freeway from 10 a.m. to 5 a.m. overnight Monday through Friday. Lone Tree/A will also be closed where it crosses under Highway 4 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday.
During the day, one lane in both directions of Somersville/Auto Center will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday between Century Boulevard and Delta Fair Boulevard.
