Owen Hunger, 11, and Lucas Nomura, 11, both of Moraga, above, sell cotton candy to raise money for their Boy Scout troop during the 15th annual Moraga Pear and Wine Festival held at Moraga Commons Park. In the last few years, wine has become a major component of the festival; on Saturday, Bob Clark, top right, of Lafayette tastes a local wine from Parkmon Vineyards. But pears, once a major Moraga Valley industry, remain vital to the festival. Grace Wisenor, 11, top left, of Danville was one participant in a pear pie-eating contest.
