An small earthquake that struck at 10:04 p.m. Friday measured 3.0 on the Richter scale and was experienced across a wide portion of central Contra Costa County.

The quake was centered on the Calaveras Fault at a depth of 5.2 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey website. The epicenter was roughly 2 miles east of San Ramon, between Danville and Dublin.

There were no immediate reports of damage.
