MARTINEZ -- A 44-year-old Danville man has been charged with possession of child pornography as a result of a multi-agency police task force sting that determined he was sharing illegal images on the Internet, Contra Costa District Attorney Mark Peterson said in a news release Friday.

George Robert Lee III was arrested Tuesday after investigators executed a search warrant at his home on the 500 block of Saint George Road.

The pornography was tracked to Lee's computer by the Pleasant Hill Police Department in early November. Investigators from the District Attorney's Office and several Contra Costa County police departments assisted in the arrest.

Lee is free from jail custody in lieu of $40,000 bail and is expected to be arraigned on one count of possession of child pornography in early January, Peterson said. He faces three years in prison if convicted.
