After a delay last month to gather victim input, the sentencing of a former San Jose officer convicted of sex acts with two underage teens is expected to take place as scheduled Wednesday.
Patrick D'Arrigo, 44, of Gilroy, Calif., pleaded no contest in March to one count of lewd and lascivious acts on a minor age 14 or 15 and one count of oral copulation with a minor. He faces a maximum sentence of three years and eight months in prison and will be required to register as a sex offender.
He was previously scheduled for a May sentencing, but a judge ordered probation officers to track down the two victims to get their statements on the crime and conviction.
Stuart Scott, deputy district attorney, said those have since been obtained and he foresees no other sentencing delays.
D'Arrigo was a longtime campus officer at Leland High School in San Jose in 2008 when he answered a Craigslist ad that got him in touch with a group of Gilroy teens, according to a grand jury transcript. The court record further alleges that he served the underage boys alcohol and engaged in sexual activity with two of them.
D'Arrigo was placed on administrative leave in August following his arrest and resigned from the police department in February.
