Investigators with the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office said Monday they have not identified any suspects in the weekend shooting and stabbing at a home in the east San Jose foothills, reportedly the residence of 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith.
The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office has not confirmed that Aldon Smith was one of the victims in the altercation that happened early Saturday morning.
But a source told The Associated Press that Smith suffered stab wounds at the party.
The 49ers' general manager, Trent Baalke, said in a statement that Smith "incurred minor injuries during an incident last night" and that "we are in contact with Aldon, and thankful that his injuries were not more serious and that he is recovering comfortably."
The sheriff's office has said deputies responded to a 911 call at 2:14 a.m. to a large home on a spacious property in the 4000 block of Higuera Highland Lane in the unincorporated East San Jose foothills.
The caller reported hearing multiple gunshots coming from the home where the party was being held.
Deputies met a large crowd of people at the house party, but Cardoza said the party-goers were unable to immediately provide any information that would lead them to suspects.
The case remains under investigation.
