MARIN COUNTY -- The arrest of two men in Mill Valley after a traffic stop for tailgating led deputies to a pound of marijuana in the trunk, a sheriff's official said Monday.
A deputy stopped the car Saturday afternoon at Tamalpais Junction and detected marijuana smoke coming from inside, said sheriff's Lt. Barry Heying. A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up the marijuana and $5,000 in cash.
Arthur Austin Streb, a 26-year-old San Pablo resident, and his passenger, 24-year-old Kyle Nelson Coyle of Oakland, were arrested. They told deputies they obtained the pot in Willits and planned to sell it for $2,500, Heying said.
Both men are free on bail pending a review by the district attorney's office.
